In Hebrew Ela/Ella means Goddess. It is taken from El which means God. Mine was always spelled Ela to make it more obvious, but I think Ella is the more common way.
Thanks for the info Ela. When out venerable leader Mike C (PBUH)returns from his far-east odyssey, he might want to look into this and amend the list :)
