Jerelene isn't a name with an easy answer, unfortunately. It could be any one of a number of things, including (but not limited to):
~ A simplification of Geraldine
~ A combination of Jera and Lene
~ A combination of Jeri and Lene
~ A combination of Jera / Jeri and any name ending with lene (Arlene, Marlene, Charlene, etc)

As for your "purpose", your name cannot help you with that. You have to figure that out on your own. Good luck :-)
