Yes, Douglas was originally a female's name. We actually had a discussion about this name some time back, when Daividh challenged the board to come up with a popular masculine name that was at one time more popularly found as a feminine name. (In retaliation for all the popular feminine names one finds today which were appropriated from the male gender).
