Hi, should "Nadia" be pronounced in English as NA-dee-a(sound "A" like "bat"), or NAR-dee-a (sound "AR" like "art")??

Nadia would be just like you said. If you want NAR-dee-a you would want Nardia.

There should be many people who use this name in America, because I checked the most popular names in this web site. How do they pronaunce it? I am not sure because I checked in another web site , and I heard the pronunciation by realplayer, it seems to be "N-AH-dee-a".

you mean the French pronunciation or English? But I think if it is that , it seems not accordant to the English pronunciation habbit. Are you sure?

My name is Nadia. I was named after my Father's Mother who was from the Republic of Georgia. My family pronounces my name na-DEE-ah (probably from arabic/muslum influence in that part of the world.) The Arabic name Nadia means "the caller" or "announcer".
Then there is the usual Slavic/Russian pronunciation NAH-dee-ah, or NAD-yah that means "hope". Still, other Europeans (like my German cousins) say NAD-jyah. Finally there are my cousins in England who as a kind of nick-name or term of endearment call me NAH-dee-er, and sometimes NAR-dee-er (my sister likewise is called Chris-ti-neer instead of Christina. I'm not sure why, just some British/English pronunciation thing.) When in doubt always ask someone how they pronounce their name. I hope this proves of some help. Good luck.

Great explanation of Nadia and its various pronunciations.
My English friends also do the -er ending for all names that end with the letter 'a'. I think that its amusing and endearing, but other people sometimes find it annoying and occasionally confusing.
