Josian
This name appears on a list of women's names from medieval England, here:
http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/christian/fairnames/givennames.html#womenI'm curious to know the etymology (of course it looks like it's related to Joseph), and how it likely came to be a woman's first name (surname first? feminization of another name? etc). I'm also wondering how it would be pronounced. Any info?- mirfak
