Not a person but it is a classification of grass skipper insects - Hesperiinae Euphyes pandora or Pereneia pandora.

I've never heard of the name applied in Christian naming or in mythology but maybe someone else has?

I thought of perennial from the Latin perennis 'unfailing, perpetual' or the Greek peri-eimi/perinaia 'to go around'...

Maybe a short form of Calpernia
But I can't find Calpernia on this website... which is wierd, so I think I am spelling it wrong...
Not much help, but maybe it will strike someone else's thought processes,
