Can anyone tell me the meaning of the name Sheeelyn? I believe it is an Irsish name for a girl.

Never heard of it actually being used but there's the possibility of Sílin, diminutive of Síle or in Anglo form Sheila, Irish form of Cecily via the Norman Cecile form.
Other than that I would say someone was inspired by the sound and Irishness of Sheila and the popularity of the -lyn ending to come up with their own creative version of the two.
