I got a question from a man who knows a few women from Spain or Latin America named Soraya or Soraja. He wants to know if this name is a survival from Moorish times in Iberia, or if it is a recent introduction due to the fame of Queen Soraya of Iran back in the 1950s.

I would assume Queen Soraya is a better idea than a survival from medieval Muslim culture, but I thought I should check to see if Lumia or someone else with access to data from Spain can confirm that.
