Meaning of Wulfild?
I found this name in another fairy tale, Musäus's version of the tale "The Three Sisters", which the Grimm brothers later adapted. It's the name of the eldest sister in the story, and I presume it's German in origin. The original German version of the story is here: http://www.gwu.edu/~folktale/GERM232/3s/Musaus.html.Miranda

I guess it's derived from Wulf, meaning "wolf" and "hild", meaning "battle, strife".
