Hello!
I met a lady named Carvia in China. It may be an English names as they are very "in" in China. Anyone heard of this name?

this appears to be a fairly new, invented name. the closest i can get, is the scientific name of a flowering shrub native to the Western Ghats in India, Carvia Callosa. Carvia may also be a variation of a name like Karina, or Carrie. Caria is also the name of an ancient region in Turkey.

Well, there's a plant named Carvia Callosa, here's the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strobilanthes_callosus - here it say's that the plant is found in India, so that could possibly explain why it's used in China.
And Karvia is a municipality in Finland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karvia
