The name Skandar.
I just returned from "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe", and I noticed that the actor who plays young Edmund Pevensie is called Skandar Keynes in real life. I immediately found this name intriguing, and as soon as I arrived home, I tried to find its meaning and origin. Unfortunately, it's not featured in the database and also Google came up with nothing. However, in the trivia section of Skandar's page on Imdb.com (not the most reliable of sites, I know), it was said that Skandar is a name that's actually the Turkish version of Alexander. Is that true? The name sounds more Scandinavian than Turkish to me, if you ask me.If anyone can shed some light on this name, then I would be grateful.Thank you for your feedback,Lucille :)
