Cameron- bent nose??
I see that the name Cameron means "bent nose". I'm wondering if this is a physically bent nose, or some phrase about being bent out of shape or upset about something. I'm having a hard time understanding how a name that means bent nose came into popularity- when babies don't usually come out with bent noses.

It was a surname long before it came into popularity. So it started to be used as a first name mainly because it was a surname that was either a family name or sounded nice to people or a whole host of other reasons, not related to its meaning but to its history. And I'm not at all an expert, but surnames can be based on things like a physically bent nose, because they aren't generally given to babies :)

No...it means Crocked nose. Practically the same thingSometimes you just have to ignore the meanings behind names that you like. I like Cameron but for a male only
