What name does Kit usually come from anyway?
I've heard that Kit comes from Katrina, Katherine (& variations), and all sorts of weird stuff! It's also used independantly like Kitt or Kitty or just plain Kit. My name comes from Katrina actually but what is the normal way? I don't get it!

Well usually it's used as a nn for Katherine (or Catherine) and so it does follow that it could be used as a nickname for forms of Katherine/Catherine like Katrina, Katerina, Caitlin, Kathleen, ect. Also it can be used as a nickname for the boys name Christopher! :)
