I'm looking for the meanings of my three kids' names: Riordan, Makenzie and Briar Rose. I'm told that the names have meanings, but no one I've spoken to seems to know what they are. Can anyone help?

Riordan means *King's minstrel*
Makenzie means *son of Kenzie, fair, favored one*
I'm not sure about Briar, but I would assume it came from the word *brier*, which just means thorny bush or something like that. Briar Rose was the name of Sleeping Beauty.

I agree with Violet 100% on all her name definitions. I have found the same defintions in my sources.
