Hi !!!Tatia is pronounced TAH-tsyah
It is because I think it derives from Tatiana which is ultimately Latin. And in Latin -ti syllable is pronounced ts-.

I don't know, but one guess is that it is pronounced "Tasha." I looked Tatia up in the Social Security data, and the only year it appeared in the US top 1000 was 1966. Significantly, 1966 was also the FIRST year Tasha appeared in the top 1000. (Tasha was #663, Tatia was #670). So this may be a case of parents hearing a "new" name and not being certain of its spelling.
