I've been trying to find some definite info on this name.
I suspect the name could be Japanese, but that is yet to be comfirmed. I suspect it could be a combo of the element 愛 (ai) meaning "love, affection" or 藍 (ai) meaning "indigo", and 里 (sato) meaning "village" or 聡 (sato) meaning "intelligent, clever, bright".
I know it can be used on girl. A famous bearer is Lisa Aisato Njie Solberg (b.1981).
