Doutzen / Doutsen / Doetzen (m/f): Frysian name (Dutch)
Pronunciation probably:
DOW (as in how) -tsun
DOO (as in you)-tzun

I'm Dutch and I NEVER heard this name before. If it is Dutch the pronunciation would be:
DOW-tsun (ow as in cow)maybe it could be a lastname with the meaning 'son of Douwe', because -zen is the same thing as a -sen ending. See Cleveland Kent Evans' post for the explanation of Douwe.

If I am interpreting my Dutch name dictionary (Woordenboek van Voornamen by J. van der Schaar) correctly, Doutzen is a feminine form of the Dutch male name Douwe. But experts don't agree on the origin of Douwe. It is possibly a form of David; possibly a form of Dominic; and possibly a form of Duive or Duif, medieval Dutch names meaning "dove" which were created as "translations" of the saint's name Columba.
