The name Saga
My daughter is named Saga because I liked the name (we are Swedish, American, and French citizens). My research shows that Saga was one of the names attributed to Odin's wife. She could see the future (Säga meant "to see" in Old Norse, not "to say" like today in Swedish) and told lots of stories about what she saw. Apparently she drank a lot with the men, too. That is how the word "saga" evolved. The noun saga, meaning story, was the word attributed to her visions and the Nordic tales and thus developed. Saga is a pretty popular Swedish name. It has listed as one the top 100 girls names for quite some time.
