Why on earth was this downvoted?! Maxima is correct. The Cyrillic spelling provided by Mary - Ганик - should indeed be transcribed as Hanyk if we are talking about Ukrainian Cyrillic:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_alphabet#Letter_names_and_pronunciation (in English)Ганик would only be transcribed as Ganik in the Cyrillic alphabets of other countries, such as Bulgaria, Russia and Serbia.The proper spelling of Ganik in Ukrainian Cyrillic would be Ґанік. Pretty subtle difference, but a significant one nonetheless.
