Could Resia be a form of Rosa / Raisel / Raisa?
It was the name of one of my cousins, a Jewish woman born in Poland in 1924.

I have a book that says Resia is a German form of Theresa.

Aha! Well done . . .

When I read yours I remembered that Theresia is a German form of Theresa. Resia is a very logical nickname for Theresia.
