Syma
Could Syma be a Polish / Yiddish feminine form of Simon? The Polish for Simon is Szymon. The Yiddish form would be Shimon or Shimmel.
If you need more background, Syma was the name of my great great grand aunt born in Poland around 1870. She was Jewish.
