Possible origins of this name?
I was surprised to see that Jacey is not on this database. Does anyone know where it comes from? I've seen variants all over for girls (I think that Jacey is the original, but I could be wrong) and, in a few cases, for a boy. There is a college basketball player in my area named Jaycee. I was curious to see why it's used for both boys and girls (if it was a name like Whitney or Courtney).Does anyone know anything about this name? Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Jacey could easily be the phonetic spelling of the initials J.C. A pet form of a pet form... think Jason -> Jace -> Jacey
Or, Jacinda -> Jacey...Anything beginning with Jac*
Variant of Jacietc.
