Mario may be used as a masc. form of
Mary, but it isn't. People just got confused over the etymology of it, and being that Hispanic countries are traditionally heavily Catholic and therefore venerate the Virgin
Mary a lot, parents were quite eager to think that
Mario was a masc. form of
Mary.
I would think Miguelangelo's just a combo of
Miguel and
Angelo too.
Miguel is Spanish, but
Angelo's Italian.
Reilly is just another spelling of
Riley; it's pronounced the same. Think
Bill O'Reilly for an example of it as a surname.
Rhett's in the database. Ryland's probably just a variant of
Rylan, yes.
Rey is Spanish for "king".
Ryker's a variant of Riker (think
William Riker from
Star Trek: The Next Generation), but I don't know the meaning.
That's all I know.
