Year 1:
This year we decided to adopt. We initially wanted a small child, but realised that there were older children who needed us more. So we aopted identical twin girls age 10 from Vietnam. They got to choose wether to keep their names or not, and they decided to choose new first names and keep their original names as middle names.
AD/AD: Ella Liên / Sofia Thanh
Year 2: This year we decided to get the girls a cat, we named him Bilbo
Year 3: We love to travel, and Eleazar had some writing stuff to do about Africa. So we decided to go for a family vacation in South Africa for two weeks. We all loved it, especially the girls.
Year 4: Last year we started to feel ready to adopt again, which we finally did this year. This time an even older girl (14) from Kazakhstan. She kept her original name and we gave her a middle name.
AD: Anara Margot
Year 5: We now had three beautiful girls, but we had always wanted at least one biological child as well. We didn't know if it would be possible for us to have any, but somewhere in February Brook got pregnant. Later that year, our family welcomed a baby boy.
DS: Henry Zedekiah
Year 6: We didn't expect much to happen this year - but boy were we wrong! One day Anara came home and told us that she thought she might be pregnant. We were shocked, but decided to give her all our support. Turned out that she was pregnant - with a boy. The father wasn't interested in being a part of his son's life, but we certainly was. Anara named her baby Oliver Caiton.
Year 7: We now had a rather big family and we were very happy with it. We couldn't have wished for more, and this year we had decided to just enjoy our family as it was. Faith wanted otherwise. We got the information about a little boy from Israel who had nobody to take care of him. After a lot of discussion we decided to adopt him. He was just about to turn one years old when we finally got to hold him in our arms.

Year 8: Looks like our family won't get some peace and quit for a while. It was a bit of a shock to find out that Brook was pregnant again. We were happy, but started to think about how big our family was going to get...This time we got a little girl!
DD: Penelope Freya
Year 9: We decided to get the kids a fish. They agreed on naming it Ray.
Year 10: Bilbo was getting older, and the kids loved having a cat around. So we decided to get another one whom we named Ezra.
Year 11: Another adoption! This time a 16 year old boy from Russia.
AS: Aleksey Konstantin
Year 12: Brook decided to start volunteering at a homeless shelter
Year 13: Eleazar won a big prize for his writing skills. We couldn't be any prouder!
Year 14: We were both getting older, and we thought our family was complete. However at a doctors appointment we found out that Brook was 10 weeks pregnant! A few months later we welcomed another baby boy to our family.
DS: Samuel Hamish
Year 15: Eleazar decided he wanted to try something a little different. So this year he wrote a science book!
