Last year, Casey started working at another non-profit organization. This one reaches out to cancer patients and their families to provide emotional support and counseling, which of course means a lot to Casey. He works on fundraising and recruiting volunteers for the organization. Leah scaled back her time in the office after Tabitha was born so that she could help Adrian and Caroline, but now she is back to work full-time. She is now the safety seminar coordinator for all of her company's plants in the region. She has found that she really enjoys teaching hands-on classes.
Wesley and Molly got married a few months ago and just learned that they are expecting their first child! Molly teaches science and math at a middle school and hopes to become a principal in the future. She also coaches girls' basketball for her school in her spare time, though she'll have to take a break once her son is born. Wesley works as a mechanical engineer for a car parts manufacturer and acts as Molly's assistant coach for the basketball team.
Adrian and Caroline broke up once Caroline moved away for college. Caroline visits their daughter, Tabitha, when she can, though she is very busy playing college softball. Adrian dotes on Tabby and loves being a father. At his job in sales for a car dealership, he met a temporary worker named Rosa, who had a part-time summer job in the office. After a couple of dates, he introduced her to Tabby. With his daughter's approval, he and Rosa officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.
Katrina decided to live at home while attending college, though her twin sister encouraged her to keep getting out of her comfort zone. Following Veronica's advice, Kat auditioned for a play put on by her college's theater department. She got a supporting role, and another student, Neil, played her character's love interest. Sparks flew both offstage and on, and now the pair are engaged. Neil has a double major in theater and communications, while Katrina's degree will be in communication disorders. They have set their wedding date to fall right after the end of Kat's junior year of college.
College was the first time that Veronica and Katrina were separated for so long, and Veronica missed her twin sister a lot. To distract herself, she plunged full-speed into her schoolwork. She met her boyfriend, Eli, when they were the only two students to show up for a biology study group. Veronica is studying athletic training and plans to work in sports medicine. Eli is majoring in environmental biology and wants to research the influence of pollution on water quality.
Mallory fully enjoyed her senior year of high school. She was elected class president and lead the school dance team as co-captain. Additionally, she helped start a dance camp for elementary and middle school girls. She wants to work for a non-profit like her dad, since she really admires the work that he has done.
George is still a bit of a class clown, though Casey and Leah have noticed that he is becoming more mature. A couple of his teachers helped him find outlets for his intelligence, such as the academic team and peer tutoring. His favorite subject is science, and he always asks Eli about his college science classes when Veronica brings him home to visit.
Oscar has stuck with playing the violin and even picked up both tuba and clarinet so that he can join the marching band in high school. He has attended a music camp for the past couple of summers and wants to be a counselor and instructor there once he is old enough.
