A handful of years after the family had decided they were done having children, Natasha got quite the surprise to find out they would be adding to their family yet again.
"Apparently, my medicine cancels out my birth control," she said by way of informing the boys one evening as they got ready for bed. "Would have been nice to know beforehand, but..."They laughed when they talked about baby names, barely discussing girl options. After seven boys, James, Steven, and Natasha had mostly given up on biological girls. It didn't matter though, Steven had had the same name in mind for years now. He wanted to name a girl Celia after a character he had loved in a book as a child. James was less sure, always jumping around on a short list he had in his mind. Without a firm answer, he allowed Cecelia to be their female choice and they made a bigger search for boy names.
"Rufus?" Natasha said with a cringe.
"Schuyler?"Steven offered more affirmatively.
"Asa?" James tried before clicking another tab on his laptop. "Kai!"
"Elizabeth," Nico said sarcastically as he came into the room. "Elizabeth Norberto. A name that fits any gender."
"It's midnight! Go to bed!" Natasha laughed. "And let your future spouse name your children."
"Please!" Steven added with a grin toward their son.
James exchanged a look with Steven and said, "I refuse to acknowledge a grandchild named Stephanie Eduardo or whatever you'll pick."
"Christina Giancarlo," Steven added with a grin.Of course, all the naming shenanigans hadn't been all that necessary when they found out they weren't having a boy. Natasha had even asked the lady doing the ultrasound, "Are you sure?" Or maybe that had been in response to Natasha finding out she wasn't having one girl, but two.Their four daughters were ecstatic and all too eager to help Natasha decide everything for their new baby sisters. James worked on finding a name. "Iliana," he said one day out of the blue. "Call her Ana so we have Ana and Celia?" All-in-all, Natasha and Steven hadn't thought he'd done a bad job choosing one.One would think a mother would become a pro at having babies by the time the eighth and ninth ones were born, but one would be wrong. Natasha would claim that it was "hands down, the worst labour of any of them," but she was rewarded in the end with the tiny cries of two fraternal twin girls."Crazy," she said quietly the next evening as she held her new daughters- one with the fair features of Steven and one with the olive skin and dark hair of James.
"You have no idea how happy I am that we all pissed off our families and did things our own way," James said softly as he reached out and held Celia's tiny hand in his own.
"If someone had told me twenty years ago when we met that this would be where we ended up," Steven mused, "I probably would have ran screaming. But today, I can't think of another place I'd rather be."
Natasha hummed a little noise and then smiled at her husbands. "Okay, you guys take them and let me get a tiny nap and then I'll join you in this sappy moment, I promise," she told them with a smile and the fathers took the little girls from her and held them close.

JUST FYI: All of the pictures used in every round have been pictures of Romanian children. I am quite proud of this. I'm just saying.
