One look at the boy, and there was no doubt the child was Johan's, since he was his carbon copy basically. Johan decides to adopt him and raise him. Amalia is shocked and angry at first, but calms down eventually and bonds with little Jakob.
Even though Johan has admit he's the child's father, Jakob will not be able to inherit the throne, or even be a Prince. So Johan gives him the title of Duke.
