Yasmin is off at college. She's studying political science at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Brooke took a gap year in France before starting college. She fell in love with the art there, and has decided to stay in Paris for university.
Chris and Hannelore managed to find steady jobs again in software engineering after a few rough years. They've moved into a house with their family, and they've been taking family vacations with Ian and Imogen (and the cousins) in France every so often.
Ian and Imogen had their third child two years ago. They tend to take turns going into London on business, and they're probably going to move to an apartment in the city when the children move out.
Julia scored a leading role in a film that was a surprise hit. Since then, she's been cast as a female romantic lead in quite a few trashy romantic comedies. She accidentally got pregnant a few years ago, and Gaston had been doing whatever he could to help the little family. Unfortunately, he still slept around a bit, so they continued to be off again, on again. During one of their longer "on agains", he told her that he wanted more kids. Just before Chase was born, he panicked and disappeared to Southeast Asia for several months. After that, he came back and settled down more-he even proposed to Julia. She doesn't trust him yet and rejected the proposal, but they've been doing pretty well for the past year.
After the dot com bubble burst, Liz decided to stay at Yahoo for the foreseeable future-as much as she wants to start her own company, it's just been too risky. She's saving up money already so that if she ever decides to start her own company, the family will be able to take the loss. Liz and Daphne are doing very well together, and they've had one child. If the laws allowed it, they would be married, but since they're both female, they are currently in a civil partnership. They hope that same sex marriage will be legalized in California soon.
Nicholas is beginning the second year of his residency at Boston Children's Hospital. He is planning on becoming a pediatrician.
Isabel was at UChicago and decided to go into business. She's just finished attending the Booth School of Business, and is now a fundraiser at the University of Chicago-she just couldn't leave.
Irina decided to go into law, and she's currently at the New York University School of Law.
