The Heath family have all been overjoyed to welcome their new member, though they've also found quickly that their life can get much louder and busier even after adding only one more child in the middle. It hasn't slowed down their desire for a large family, though.
The language situation has been interesting for everyone, but when Rylan isn't around, El can still communicate ell enough with Koda through the amount of English he speaks and the amount of Spanish Amity speaks. She's hoping to become conversational in it, but isn't sure yet if she'll try to teach him Arabic - she likes speaking it sometimes at home, but doesn't want to overwhelm him.
The kids are getting along like siblings - it isn't perfect, but they all seem to enjoy having playmates. Amity has to learn not to push Koda too hard with his asthma, but she can show quite adorable concern when it acts up. Koda doesn't seem inclined to let it keep him from doing what he wants, either.
