Time is passing slow in both Northwood and Cloudhill. Currently they are planning on keeping the kingdom and the empire separate, to King Alfonso's disappointment. The King is less concerned since he has plenty of heirs including his children with Callista. Queen Callista is filling Princess Amandine's head with fairy tales of happily ever after. She wants to marry her daughter off within the next ten years to a rich man. Princess Amandine is still too young to marry, but won't be for long. Prince Aurelian is the spoiled baby. He told stories about the gifts he gets and how the Queen lets him do whatever at a dinner party. Now the kingdom thinks of him as a spoiled brat. King Alfonso wants to send him the boarding school, but Queen Callista won't let him. Prince Ajax is at boarding school and a star athlete, to his parents' pride. Princess Arianwen and her mother butt heads the most. Callista is trying to teach her to be a lady, but Arianwen is still very childish.
Empress Anushka and Prince Apollo had another baby boy. Their family is very tightknit. They're living in Cloudhill.
Prince Ansel is still helping his nephew, King Alphonso. He hears things that aren't there like people murmuring or laughing. In the day, he thinks about his brother and his parents. He thinks King Amos manipulates the chess board, as he often finds the kings moved from next to the queen, where the kings should be. Occasionally he loses his pocket watch and then finds it in his bed. In his dreams, he sees his former sister-in-law turned girlfriend, Queen Thea.
