The Santos family is flourishing for the most part. Astrid and James are living in a retirement home. Everyone comes to visit them. Yesterday their oldest granddaughter Sophie came to them for comfort after a bad break-up. Sophie is focusing on becoming a doctor. Her brother Walter is an education major. Her brother Owen is going into accounting as his fiance! They met in college and are together most of the time. Their dads were nervous about such a young engagement, but when you know, you know. All of Winn's and Oskar's other children are flourishing.
Luke and Taylor are focused on their kids and living their lives. Both of them recently published articles about their work. Luke is thinking about starting a teaching career. Freja and Meredith tried IVF again, but it didn't work. They decided to adopt and are now proud parents of Rhys. They are happy with Vivian and Rhys and are not planning to expand their family.
Noah and Elena began to fight after Bonnie was born. They had Marta, but Elena felt Noah used her and took her for granted. They separated two years ago. The family hoped they could make things work with counseling. Unfortunately they got divorced. Astrid still hopes Elena and Noah reconcile. However Noah's recent relationship with a 25 year old as jeopardized them getting back together. Elena gets alimony and loves her big family. She and Noah work together to co-parent. It's not clear where the future will take them.
Emma and Miles are still together. If they had found each other younger, they would have had kids. At their age, they're just happy to be together. They rescued a kitten they found in the backyard. His name is Valentino. Jake and Claire are a DINK couple and still living on the boat. Dmitri and Pia remain content and have actually grown closer following a couples' retreat.
After decades of not having a family, Gary is now a grandfather! His younger stepdaughter married a chef and they recently welcomed their first child: Brooks. Warner is a sous chef at the restaurant. His soon-to-be brother-in-law wants to help find investors so he can open his own restaurant. Sofia's fiancé Landon is in finance. He's a great guy and a wonderful father to his daughter Yuliya from a previous relationship. He met Sofia at Warner's restaurant. Sofia and he have been together for 2.5 years. They were planning to get married, but were also impatient to start a family. Landon and Sofia are now ready to welcome their new daughter. Everyone is very happy and excited for Zuzu's arrival.
