Melusine I first heard in the
German pronunciation, "mel-oo-SEE-neh." One of
George I of England's Hanoverian mistresses was named "Ehrengard
Melusine von der Schulenburg." Is that great or what?!
But generally it is pronounced, "mel-oo-SEEN," yes. There aren't many
German folklore / mythical names. It's good to air her out once and a while. She's usually overshadowed by
Lorelei.
