I like Eve. I like Eva better, but there is a nice simplicity to the name Eve.
I know a few Evas, but I don't think I've ever met an Eve. I don't think their parents would need to be religious though.
Some are probably Eve for short, but I think Evie is a more common nickname. It feels more nickname-ish.
I think as Eva gets popular, Eve will as well, but never to same extent as the longer forms.
