I've never liked the name Cassandra, but I think there are already so many Cassandra's out there that the mythological association doesn't even matter. I've known quite a few Cassandra's in my lifetime and a few went by Cassie, but the others made it clear that they wanted to be called Cassandra so that is what people called them.

As for middle names, I think Mary is definitely the best choice. :)
