I've never met a Paul I didn't like.
The name isn't something I could ever use due to a personal association - Paul is the husband of a close friend of mine - but I'd like to meet a little Paul. John isn't exciting enough on its own but John Paul or Jean-Paul would be lovely. It is serious yet warm sounding. Augustine is amazing.
Knowing that Genevieve is the name you plan to give to a future daughter, I'm going to come out and say that John Paul and Genevieve sound great together.
