It sounds more handsome to me. More than that though, Julius makes me think of that place called Orange Julius that is teamed up with Dairy Queen or something.
I do like both names though. Some people say Julian sounds feminine because of its similarity to Julianne, but I disagree. I like that "ju" sound on boys. Actually one of my gp names on a boy is Jules. I like Jude and Judas too.
