I sort of agree with
Annie, on paper it does look a little weird.
But if I met a boy or man named
Gratian in real life, I'd have an impression similar to the impression I get from names like
Gideon and
Grant ... sort of heroicly, formally virile. I think it's a good name, although not exactly my style. It could grow on me.
At any rate, the name
Gratian stomps on the name
Grayson.
