It's the religious connotation that gets me, every time. Two of my four great-grandmothers were named
Christiana, and I know something about both those remarkable ladies, but I would avoid the name and any form of it, to avoid confusion and typecasting.
That said, I know a (secular, OK) Jew with a wife named
Christine. That must be fun!
