Elaina - much prefer Elaine, or Helena, but especially Helen.
Agnes - sounds better in French; fine as a mn.
Ruby - Tuesday! Love the Stones, dislike gemstone names.
Aubrey - fem? Not a chance. OK for a boy, but Audrey for girls; not that I like it much.
Nevaeh - too much like Never, and who wants to be backward?
Sydney - I know a Jennifer, born while her father was a soldier in the Second World War. His name was Sydney, and it is her middle name, because of him and in case he never came back. Which he did! But that's the only good reason for it as a fem name.
Heaven - OK, so this time it's forward! Still total nonsense as a human name; the thought of a Heaven Lastname appearing in Court on a charge of, well, anything from petty pilfering to mass murder is straight out of a comic novel, but it could happen. Heaven could also have appendicitis, or an unsuccessful love affair, or end up sleeping on the streets ... oh dear.
