Yes! Regardless of her reasoning (I say O_o to that, btw), at least the child will have a good, properly spelled Biblical name. :-D
I also like Jaden, as a masculine form of Jade. (I like Jade for boys too, btw.) But any other "spelling"--Jayden, Jaedin, Jaidyn, etc.--are just intolerable to me. Ugh.
