I love the name
Georgia. I actually live in the state of
Georgia, as well, and as
August Rose mentioned it really isn't the cousin-marrying, uneducated black hole of
America. There are a lot of good things about
Georgia. I've always found it to have a romantic something in its atmosphere, its landscape and its history. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that my personal connotation of the name does involve the state, and that I don't find that undesirable, even for someone who does live in the United States.
That being said, I really love this name and have considered it using it myself. Perhaps, it would work well as a middle name?
My favorite combo for a long time was
Rosalie Georgia.
