Mauro is a nine-year-old boy from Sau Paulo. His parents were too poor to support him, so gave him up for adoption. They would like to contact him, and he has an older brother whom he would like to stay in contact with. Mauro speaks Portuguese, is not religious and enjoys cars, science and sports.
Viktor is a thirteen-year-old boy from Poland. He has cerebral palsy, and he was abandoned by his parents. He has a three-year-old German Shepherd called Tig, which will be rehomed with him. Viktor has lived with Portuguese foster parents, so speaks good Portuguese. He is Catholic, and enjoys reading, sports and being outdoors.
Fatima and Mohammad are sixteen-year-old twins from Iraq. They speak Arabic and were raised as Muslims. Their parents died in a bomb. Fatima is pregnant, but wants an abortion. She likes music, theatre and dance, and Mohammad likes writing and math.
