I prefer Anne. I like its simplicity and maturity. It's strong, feminine, and an uncommon classic. Anne feels fresher and more interesting to me than Anna these days. Anne also brings more positive associations to my mind, from explorers to queens, pirates to poets, performers to characters.
You couldn't go wrong with Anna, either. It's soft, pretty, low frill, and, hey, palindrome.
