I've met someone with a similar name, Breiagh, from an Irish Traveller background (I mention this as they may have different pronunciations to my very w. coast Irish approach to saying Irish names). I thought it might be a version of an Irish nickname for Bridget (confusingly, how this website says a similar name is said is very far from how I've heard it said and more how an English person would try to say it, but it may be a dialect thing). I said it like that, and she looked at me like I was an alien. It was a brey-ah apparently. I still do not get how it works phonetically in either English or Irish but...eh...
