Even on the namepage, one of the famous Omars listed is a white American (Omar Bradley? he was named after some other American named Omar Gray who I'm guessing was also white); it's not really a new name in English though used to be rarer. Out of curiosity, does Layla similarly seem out of place to you for white Americans? I feel like they're both cross cultural.
What difference do you perceive between Javier or Jose? Honest question, because they both just seem like typical Spanish J names to me.
