1.
Francis called
Frank /
Frankie I love
Francis and
Frank (I prefer
Frank on it's own as it was my grandad's name but it's good as a nn for
Francis). I don't like
Frankie as much as it reminds of
Frankie Howerd and
Frankie Boyle (both comedians) so it's rather a comical name to me.
2. Pick ONE of:
Drew or
Merrick.
Drew. (
Merrick reminds me of the Elephant Man,
Joseph Merrick).
3.
Robin for a boy: do you think it is very masculine, or does it sound kind of "soft" or weak to you?
I wouldn't say very masculine (I tend to associate that with names such as Hunter/Cutter/Gunner and the -adens). But it's not a weak-sounding name either. It's hard to describe, I find it both masculine on a boy and feminine on a girl. I'd say it was 'sensitive-' and 'caring-' sounding for a boy.
4. Which is nerdier:
Keith, or
Marshall?
This is hard, neither of them strike me as particulary 'nerdy' but I think I'd said
Marshall (
Keith is more of a 'down at the pub with my mates' name, one of the lads).
5. How do YOU pronounce
Leif?
LEEF but I've only ever seen it written down never spoken. I do know LAYF is listen on the entry but LEEF is the way I've said it in my head. I've not really paid enough attention to it to make LAYF come automatically.
6. Which of these names I've mentioned do you like most? Least?
I like
Francis the most.
Marshall is the one I dislike.
