Re: story characters
Winter on a boy isn't doing it for me, not even in a story. IDK, it just doesn't sound right. I consider it a feminine name.Thomas is nice. Rain is cheesy, and I like it better on a boy (I know, mixed signals, here.) July is corny, and so is Harmonia. Sometimes when story names are so far outside the norm, they take me out of the story, even in a fantasy setting. I can see that happening with names like these. I know Winter is a surname/ nature name that should work on either gender, but I've only seen it or heard it considered for a girl. Unless you want that, and your character struggles with having a name that people think is for a girl only, like the old Johnny Cash song "Boy Named Sue".
