My husbands name is Pascal. It's very common in french speaking areas (as well in german speaking areas). I know a lot Pascals (boys) and few Pascales (girls). I don't realky like Pascale for girls, it doesn't sound feminine IMO. Maybe it's just because Pascale is not so widespread... ^^

I pronounce Hera as HEH-ruh. If you like people to pronounce it HEER-uh, I would definitely write it Hira.
