Re: Arnna instead of Anna?
in reply to a message by Paul
I can't even begin to imagine allowing a nine, seven, and four-year-old to take a bus and go to the beach----the beach! an ocean! ----- unsupervised. Taking my kids to the beach supervised, which happened only rarely when we visited my father in Hilton Head, was nightmare enough. I was in constant fear of them drowning and wouldn't take my eyes off of them. Anyway, I've never heard of the Beaumont children until right now. I don't think the case has any bearing on the name Arnna in the US, but of course I don't know about Australia. Arnna is certainly not unusable in the US. However, Arnna is not in this site's database, and I've never heard it before. Did the Beaumonts make it up? If it were an established name, I might say that it's plausible for someone to like Anna but think it's a little too plain and go for Arnna instead. But not when it's not an established name.
