These names are both very common in my generation, but I love them both very much...I always have. In fact, Vanessa is one of the names I'd consider for a daughter. Emily gives classic vibes, and apart from thinking of the 2000s, I think of Victorian America. Vanessa has always reminded me of butterflies, long before I knew the meaning (a Vanessa that I grew up with loved butterflies. She always wore butterfly barrettes and had butterfly backpacks. She even liked to put butterfly stickers on her sneakers).
